Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Italian striker Mario Balotelli will not be leaving Anfield during the January transfer Window.

Since arriving from AC Milan last summer the 24-year-old striker has not managed a single goal in the Premiership and has been on the side-lines for the Reds two last games.

Yet Rodgers says he is determined to make the Italian international a success on Merseyside.

“Mario’s a good guy. He’s come into here and he’s not scored the goals he would have wanted or we would have wanted but we’re determined to help him find a solution here,” Rodgers told his pre-match press conference.

“He certainly won’t be going anywhere in January.”

You can listen to Rodgers comments on Mario below, and you will notice the Northern Irishman took notice about what Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini had to say about managing Mario.
