Robin van Persie, Arsenal

According to Sky Italia Manchester United striker Robin van Persie could be set for a dramatic return to the Emirates after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger met with his agent last week to discuss the possibility of a move back to the London club.

The Dutchman forced a move to Manchester United the season before and did extremely well his first year under Sir Alex Ferguson helping United to win the Premiership title.

This season however the Red Devils are not doing as well, with van Persie said to be critical of mew manager David Moyes training methods, and would now like to move back to his old club Arsenal.

Reports suggest that Wenger is in fact considering the idea of bringing the 30-year-old back as he overhauls the club in the summer  going so far as to sound out senior members to find out if they would be open to his return.

While he was loved by the Arsenal faithful for all those years that the club stood by him, it would be hard to forgive his traitorous act in leaving and welcome him back to the fold like nothing had ever happened especially after taunting the club with his Premiership winner’s medal last season.

Many Arsenal fans may feel that with the money the club has available to spend they would be better off bringing in a younger up and coming striker rather than a player who is in the twilight of their career.
