Luis Suarez

Reports are emerging that Luis Suarez will look to force a move to Real Madrid in January which will be sanctioned by real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Perez does not think that current Los Blanco’s striker Karim Benzema has the killer instinct to be a top goal scorer, a trait not missing in Liverpool striker Luis Suarez as he demonstrated by scoring two goals at Sunderland on Sunday following his 10-match ban.

According to several sources in Spain, intereconomia and television station Punto Pelota the Uruguayans agents have already entered talks with the Spanish giants in the hope that Suarez will move to the capital and achieve his goal of playing Champions League football.

There was much talk of the 26-year-old moving to Madrid in the summer, but nothing ever came of it with Arsenal being the only club to make a bid of £40 million plus £1 that was immediately turned down by Liverpool.

Liverpool are currently second in the Premiership aiming to at least finish in the top four in order to be in Europe next season, and the last thing manager Brendan Rodgers would want to see is last season’s leading goal scorer leave the club, but if Real Madrid put in an offer above £50 million I think that Liverpool’s owners the Fenway Sports Group would have a difficult time saying no.
