Real Madrid is inching ever closer to signing Spanish goalkeeper Kiko Casilla as they prepare to watch former number one shot-stopper Iker Cassilas move to Porto and are failing in their attempt to sign Manchester United’s David De Gea.

Due to the impasse with Manchester United the Spanish giants has switched their attention to Espanyol’s Casilla, who initially left Real Madrid without having made a single first-team appearance back in 2007.

Now according to El Partido de las 12 on the Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, Casilla’s arrival at Madrid in a €3m deal appears imminent, with Los Blanco’s wanting to get a deal done before they head out to Australia for their pre-season tour.
