Manchester United recent wins over Manchester City and Everton has given the Red devils a real chance of sneaking into the top four this season which if it happens, it will make up for a truly disapointing season. Under Louis Van Gaal, Manchester United have blown both cold and hot. Mostly Cold. This is despite having spent close to half a billion in the transfer window on players.

The Dutchman and his wards however have a chance of sneaking into the top four this season. Their next test against Tottenham who are occupying the second position on the table and looking to win the Premier league for the very first.

How Manchester United is likely to line up for Tottenham clash

Louis Van Gaal is most certainly going to stick with the same thing as the one that got two 1-0 wins against Manchester City and Everton. Though there are fitness concerns on some of the players who played in those two games.

However, Marco Rojo could be dropped after his woeful performance against Everton last week. Replacing the Argentine is likely to be young Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The youngster replaced Rojo in the second half of the Everton clash and was impressive. It won’t be a surprise if manager LVG starts him today.

With German star Bastian Schweinsteiger still out injured, Louis van Gaal will have to choose two from the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini.

Both Schneiderlin and Carrick as partners in midfield haven’t really worked but both have been very good in the last two games for United and it won’t be a surprise if this is the partnership LVG prefers.

Marcus Rashford is likely to start upfront against Tottenham. Should he start, it will be his 10th consecutive match for the Red devils. Should Rashford star, Anthony Martial could once again be played on the wing.

In the 10 role, LVG will have to be pick between Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata.
