When the summer transfer window opens one of the first moves Arsenal will make is to go after Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti as the Gunners look to bolster their midfield options.
The French champions are looking to make some transfer moves of their own and are said to be willing to sell the talented Italian international for £40 million according to reports.
Italian giants Juventus are also interested in the 22-year-old and see him as a replacement for Paul Pogba who could be on his way back to Manchester United or to Real Madrid.
40 million sounds like a lot of money for Arsenal to pay, but given the player’s age and the fact he has already been capped ten times for the Italian national team it could prove to be a smart piece of business.
