Liverpool is in the process of putting a bid together for Real Madrid back-up goalkeeper Keylor Navas after hearing reports that he is unhappy at Madrid.

The Costa Rican only moved to the Spanish giants last summer and has made just appearances in trainer Carlo Ancelotti’s team leading his agent Ricardo Cabanas to say that his client is looking to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

He said: “Keylor Navas has told Real Madrid that wants to leave.”

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for a new keeper after current shot stopper Simon Mignolet has at times looked vulnerable in the Liverpool goal; only getting his spot back in the team after number two keeper Brad Jones got injured.

Rodgers is a big fan of the former Levante man, and will do his best to lure the 28-year-old to Anfield in the summer.
