The Gunners travel to the Etihad on Sunday where they will face a 12-game unbeaten Manchester City buoyed by the return of striker Sergio Aguero and Captain Vincent Kompany.

Despite his injuries Argentinian forward Sergio Aguerro has 19 goals from 24 appearances in all competitions making him one of the world’s deadliest strikers.

This together with the fact that City is unbeaten in their last five meetings with Arsenal will have the Sky Blues assuming that all three points are in the bag.

Saying this however Arsenal is coming off an inspiring 3-0 win over Stoke City, and will have star player Alexis Sanchez eager to show what he is capable of in what should be this weekends most watched match.

Goalkeeper

Joe Hart will start ahead of Willy Caballero, despite being at fault for Everton’s goal in the 1-1 draw at Goodison Park. Hart has seven clean sheets out of 19 games.

Defence

Captain Vincent Kompany will form a strong central partnership with Eliaquim Mangala, with Pablo Zabaleta set to continue on the right of the back four Aleksnadar Kolarov may start on the left with manager Manuel Pellegrini looking to exploit Arsenal set piece weakness.

Midfield

With Yaya Toure away at the Africa Cup of Nations, Pellegrini may keep faith with the center-midfield partnership of Fernando and Fernandinho.

Rather than starting the experienced Frank Lampard, Pellegrini will go with a more aggressive midfield to counter Arsenals passing game. On the flanks, Jesus Navas looks set to continue on the right, while Pellegrini will use the work rate of James Milner on the left.

Milner will be trusted to track back and support left-back Kolarov in an attempt to quell the in-form Alexis Sanchez.

Attack

Even with Dzeko injured and new signing Wilfied Bony away on African nation’s duty, Pellegrini would have always chosen Aguero to lead the line for this game.

The key for Arsenal in this game will be the need to stop the inform David Silva whose recent displays have shown the Spaniard playmaker has the ability to win matches almost singlehandedly.
