Arsenal will host giant killers Middlesboro at the Emirates on Sunday hoping not to meet the same fate as Manchester City who lost at home 2-0 to the Northeast side.

New signing Gabriel Paulista looks set to make his Arsenal debut, while manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Polish international Wojciech Szczesny will be back in goal rather than David Ospina.

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be missing for two weeks after limping off during the Gunners 2-1 win over Leicester City.

Other absentees include Mathieu Debuchy, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta.

Goalkeeper
Szczesny will return in goal after having lost his place to Colombian international David Ospina following a run of bad form, and now has the chance to try and get his starting place back with a solid performance between the posts.

Defence
Wenger has hinted that Gabriel could start for Arsenal, but we will just have to see on that one. Kieran Gibbs should be back in the team after having been out through injury, and will be keen to show he deserves to be in the team.

Midfield
A big player in Arsenals recent form has been the introduction of Francois Coquelin into the team with the young Frenchman adding extra protection to the back four.
With Ramsey out injured we expect to see Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky in the middle of the park.
Spaniard Santi Cazorla has gone off the boil after a couple of brilliant games, and may be rested by Wenger allowing Mesut Ozil to take over as a traditional number 10.

Attack
Much depends on whether or not Alexis is fit to play, with us siding on the edge of caution after the kick to the knee he picked up on Wednesday. If he is fit to play however we could quite possible see Welbeck get the nod over Olivier Giroud who has not looked his best of late.
Should Giroud start though we would expect to see Walcott and Welbeck on either side of him.
