Manchester United’s desire to sign Pedro may all come apart after the Red Devils refused to meet the Catalans asking price of £22 million for the Spanish international.

Following his winning goal in the Super Cup against Sevilla earlier in the week, the 28-year-old has been training with his Barcelona teammates in preparation for this evenings Supa Copa first leg tie against Athletic Bilbao.

Trainer Luis Enrique has reiterated all along that he does not want to see Pedro leave the Nou Camp and has named him in the squad for tonight’s game, hardly a move you would expect for a player who is about to be transferred to a new club.

Let’s also not forget that United’s cross town rivals Manchester City have also expressed a desire to sign Pedro, so as far as Trainer Enrique is concerned it is business as usual for the La Liga Champions until he is told differently.
