French Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint-Germain is said to be willing to pay as much as £61 million for Chelsea’s Belgium international midfielder Eden Hazard according to the Daily Mail.

The mega-rich French club has already been fined £49m for breaching Financial Fair Play guidelines, but it did not stop them from buying Brazilian defender David Luiz from Chelsea last month for £50 million.

Despite also showing interest in Branislav Ivanovic, Oscar and Petr Cech it is the young Belgium that PSG believe Jose Mourinho will part with.

According to rumours Hazard’s representatives met with PSG owner Sheik Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani back in March and said that they would be willing to offer Hazard a five-year-deal with a salary of £230,000 per-week.

Meanwhile Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is not wasting anytime looking for new talent hoping to sign Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa ahead of the June 12th start of the World Cup while also looking at his Atletico teammates Tiago, Filipe Luis, Koke and Diego Godin.

There is also talk of the Blues looking at Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas as a replacement for Frank Lampard, while Chelsea scouts are closely monitoring 19-year-old Stuttgart midfielder Carlos Gruezo.

Hazard seems quite content to stay at Chelsea despite his troubles with Mourinho telling the club website: ‘I am very pleased to be able to wear the number 10 for Chelsea.

‘It is my favourite number and is one I am used to wearing for the national team, as well as the one worn by some of my heroes from when I was a kid, like Zinedine Zidane.

‘I hope it brings me a lot of luck in the future and I look forward to the fans seeing me in it next season.’
