Arsenal are obviously in the market for a new midfielder and this is understandable considering the fact that the likes or Rosicky, Flamini and Arteta will likely be leaving the club this summer. Already, Arsenal have been linked to the signing of high rated Borussia Monchengladbach’s Granit Xhaka. Only yesterday daily mirror reported that Arsenal have tabled an initial bid of £24 million for the player.

Another player now been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer is 22-year-old Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina who is currently on loan at Juventus from Olympic Marseille but is likely to be available this summer for the right price as he has struggled for game time at Juventus.

Arsenal have closely been watching the youngster for sometime according to a report by Le 10 Sport. Marseille’s well known financial difficulties is reportedly set to force the French club into selling the African this summer.

Arsenal will however face competition from Valencia, Napoli, Leicester City and Dortmund for the signature of the midfielder but with Wenger well connected among French players or players in the French, the Gunners have much better chance of signing the Lemina ahead of the chasing pack.

But really, if he is not getting playing time with Juventus, what chances does he have of getting playing time with Arsenal? He is already 22 and definitely not coming as a young prospect but as a player who should be playing in the first team.
