After weeks of negotiations Arsenal has finally signed Argentina ace Maxi Romero from Velez Sarsfield, after talks had stalled due to the players third party ownership rights that the Daily Mirror says have now all been sorted out.

The Gunners were supposed to have done a deal a couple of weeks ago, but in the end had to send out top negotiator Richard Law to Argentina to get the deal done.

16-year-old Romero who is being called the next Messi will remain at Velez Sarsfield until he is 18 has now penned a £4.5 million deal with the Gunners that will see him move to London after his 18th birthday.
