Manchester United winger Nani is on the verge of leaving Old Trafford with Russia his most likely destination.

Anzhi Makhachkala and Zenit St.Petersburg are both believed to have enquired about how much United are willing to sell Nani for.

Premier League rivals Arsenal have been consistently linked with Nani, however their interest has withered this summer.

Nani reportedly fell out with Sir Alex Ferguson last year and new manager David Moyes has given the Portuguese winger no further reassurances over his future.

The former Sporting Lisbon man's time at Old Trafford has been one of inconsistency.

At times Nani pulled out the seemingly impossible, however more often than not he was poor and incredibly frustrating.

The winger is injured and will miss the three-week tour, but could ultimately be on his way to Russia shortly.

Former United coach Rene Muelensteen has joined Guus Hiddink at Anzhi and could be instrumental in bringing Nani with him.

The influx of money at Anzhi has seen them bring in some world-class talent including Samuel Eto'o in their pursuit of trophies.

So far Anzhi have failed to win a single piece of silverware since their big take-over, however they believe Nani could help them take the next step.

Whilst the prospect of joining Zenit is also a real one as the Russian side look to add to their history of Portuguese players.

The likes of Bruno Alves and Danny have shone for Zenit in recent years and they'll be hoping Nani can make the same impact.
