Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has come down hard on his players after Belgium international Eden Hazard recently appeared to question the manager’s tactics.

Hazard said that the current Chelsea team were not built to play football fuelling the fire for football pundits who claim that Mourinho’s approach is too negative.

Chelsea look set to finish the season in third place without any silverware after the Portuguese manager saw his side fizzle out in both the title race and Champions League.

When speaking yesterday and reported in this morning’s Daily Star newspaper Mourinho claimed that the key to success was having a team of players who did as they were told, while warning that he would not tolerate anyone questioning his methods as they obviously work as you can see from his track record.

Mourinho said: “For me, leadership and leaders are more than just the quality and the competence and the status.

“For me a leader is the guy who says, ‘Let’s go’, and everybody goes. And the people that follow you, they don’t even think twice.

“So speaking about my personal situation, when I say to players I want this game plan and I want to play like this they follow.

“No questions about why, or ‘Is he right?’ or ‘Is he wrong?’ If he says it’s like this, it’s like this.”
