Shinji Kagawa’s agent Thomas Kroth has dismissed the latest rumours linking his client with Serie A giants Napoli.

The Japanese international arrived at Manchester United following several successful seasons with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, but has failed to become a regular starter with Manchester United adding to speculation that he may return to his former club where manager Jürgen Klopp would welcome him back with open arms.

When talking about the 25-year-old midfielder’s future Kroth told Ultimecalcionapoli.it and picked up by talkSPORT that his client is happy at Manchester United saying: “Has there been contact from Napoli? For me, these are just rumours and nothing certain. He doesn’t feel bad at Manchester United, so I see no reason to talk about him leaving.”

United signed Kagawa two seasons ago for £12 million, and since then he has scored just six goals for the club.

Here at Soccertransfers we are taking his agents comments with a pinch of salt and believe that Kagawa wants to join a team where he will get more playing time so we expect to see him leave Old Trafford this summer as a new manager cleans house.
