Porto manager Julen Lopetegui would neither confirm nor deny that he is about to sign Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj on loan until the end of the season.
One of the few good things to emerge from David Moyes time at the club Januzaj has found himself marginalized since the arrival of Louis van Gaal.
“I’m not saying it’s true or not,” Lopetegui said at his press conference. “I’m just concentrating on the game with Penafiel. That’s what I’m thinking about.”
A move to Portugal could very well be to the benefit of the young Belgium international, as not only does Lopetegui encourage attacking play, be he also has a reputation of developing young talent.
The move would also allow the 19-year-old to have a taste of Champions League football with Porto due to take on Basel in the last-16 of the competition in February.
