Yet again today the news surrounding Everton defender John Stones will not go away. From what we know so far Everton is sticking to their guns saying that the 21-year-old is not for sale, while a bid of £34 million is what the club is secretly hoping for let the England international leave.
Chelsea so far has made two bids, well below Everton’s price, while Manchester City sits on the side-lines watching developments before making a bid of their own.
The latest news on the Stones affair is that Manchester United is also interested in the centre –back, and will offer Everton not only cash, but Northern Irish international Jonny Evans as a replacement for the rising star.
