Manchester United are not toying around in their efforts to be the Premierships top club with manger Louis van Gaal ready to offer Paris Saint-Germain £60 million for the Uruguayan international striker Edinson Cavani.
United have made the unsettled Cavani a must buy this summer and hope that by offering PSG £60 million they will blow any other interested clubs out of the water.
The Red Devils will be looking to get rid of 31-year-old Dutch striker Robin van Persie and will use his huge salary to help pay the £300,000 per-week they are prepared to offer Cavani.
Cavani is currently played out of position at the Parc des Princes by trainer Laurent Blanc in order to allow Zlatan Ibrahimovic to play centre-forward, but should LVG let the 28-year-old play in the centre of attack United fans can expect many goals at Old Trafford next season from the man who was such a prolific scorer will playing in Serie A for Napoli.
