According to the British tabloid newspaper the Daily Express, Manchester United is prepared to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a whopping £300,000 per-week to get him to return to Manchester.

When speaking about a possible deal for the 29-year-old forward, William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: “Ronaldo has started to see the world’s best players overtake his salary and he may have to move next summer in order to restore parity.”

The question as to where the talented Portuguese international will play next remains up in the air, and despite United’s stated interest other teams including Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich may also have a say in where he ends up.

Despite having spoken of his desire to return to Manchester one day saying: “Everyone knows that – I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.”

Here at Soccer Transfers our belief is that Cristiano is happy at Real Madrid and despite talk about his salary not being as high as some other top players we believe that he has already decided that he will finish his playing career at the Santiago Bernabeu, and that Los Blancos will increase his pay to ensure he stays at Madrid.
