Italian Serie A giants fresh on a spending spree after being taken over by Indonesian business man Erick Thohir are close to completing a deal to sign former Arsenal player Alex Song from Barcelona.
According to British sports radio show TalkSport who are quoting reports coming out of Italy that Barcelona is willing to let the Cameroonian leave this summer for around £12 million.
For the past year the 26-year-old had been linked heavily with Manchester United, but it appears Inter Milan is now close to completing the deal for around £10 million with a contract for the holding midfielder said to be three-years on a salary of £80,000 per-week.
Fellow Serie A club Napoli was also thought to be interested in Song, but have so far not made a formal offer.
