Manchester United target PSV winger Memphis Depay has according to the Daily Mirror had secret talks with Liverpool and was said to be impressed by the clubs vision moving forward and how he would fit into what they are trying to achieve at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers faces the possibility of losing Raheem Sterling as the 20-year-old holds out on signing a new contract, and with Daniel Sturridge constantly being side-lined by injury the Northern Irishman has already said he would be looking to add to his attacking options.

Depay has scored 21 goals for PSV Eindhoven this season helping them to win the Dutch Eredivisie for the first time in seven years.

Liverpool will now sit down with PSV to try and seal a deal which is believed to be in the region of £20 million.
