In what could signal good news for Manchester United midfield target Ander Herrera has been benched for today’s match against La Liga giants Real Madrid, adding to speculation that he is on his way to Manchester.
The 24-year-old had started in both of Athletic Bilbao’s previous two matches, and it is surprising to see him dropped for the match against Madrid.
Basque newspaper El Correo is reporting this morning that Herrera has already agreed personal terms with United, and that Athletic Bilbao are happy to let him go to a club like United who handled the business in the correct manner.
The fee is believed to be 38€ a similar figure to the amount Real Madrid paid for Asier Illarramendi earlier in the summer.
