Gabriel was once a transfer target of Arsene Wenger after scouting him for a long while before the French man decided against signing the starlet.
Also Gabriel displays in the Brazilian league saw him voted the Best Newcomer of the 2015 Campeonato Brazileiro Seria A after which he helped Palmeiras win the Copa do Brazil.
