manchester united,

Manchester United Chief Executive Ed Woodward has told assistant manager Ryan Giggs that he is unwilling to guarantee him the Manchester United job in the summer.

Giggs has been the No.2 under both Scot man David Moyes and then Louis Van Gaal since the retirement of Legend Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013. It has been an unwritten consensus that Giggs would take over once the contract of Van Gaal expires in 2017. This is because it is believed that Giggs must have been through with learning the ropes at the very top.

Giggs has also made it clear though not publicly that he is desperate to be the next in line to succeed the Dutch man once he is sacked in the summer or allowed to run down his contract next season.

According to Sunday People, Giggs is ready to quit Old Trafford once Mourinho is appointed as the manager. Though he has spent all his career at Old Trafford graduating from the academy and playing for more than a decade at the North West club. Giggs is more concerned in managing a top flight team rather than remain in Old Trafford as an assistant coach.

Swansea is one of the clubs that have been regularly linked with Giggs with the the club seeming not likely to retain the services of Italian Francesco Guildolin at the end of the season, making Giggs a favourite to take up the vacant management position at the club. Another factor is that Swansea have been a club that have
given unknown managers with little or no prior experience the chance to prove their worth (Roberto Martinez, Brendan Rodgers, Michael Laudrup and Gary Monk ).
