According to Italian newspaper La Republica via goal.com Manchester United are interested in signing Lazio Forward Filipe Anderson.
The Brazilian came to prominence last season following some stellar performances in Serie A for the Rome based club as Lazio qualified for the Champions League playoffs, before losing out to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
Manchester United has been tracking the 22-year-old attacking midfielder for some time, and now that it appears Real Madrid will not be letting Colombian international James Rodriguez leave this January have turned their attention to Anderson.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal sees Anderson as a player that could drastically improve the Red Devils attack and is prepared to meet Lazio’s asking price which is believed to be in the region of 45€ million.
