Manchester United needs Four Players to make the club great

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has told the clubs executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward that he needs to make four summer signings in order to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford.

After having already spent £150 million last summer on players the Dutchman has identified where the team is under performing and has a list of transfer targets to go after this coming summer that includes two Borussia Dortmund players Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan as well as Wolfsburg winger Kevin de Bruyne and AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.

Dutch international Kevin Strootman has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the arrival of van Gaal, but now that he has had a reoccurrence of the knee injury that saw him miss last summer’s World Cup in Brazil, van Gaal may have to change his plans and opt for Strootman’s Roma teammate Radja Nainggolan.

Despite united putting in a few poor performances of late the 63-year-old former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss believes he is still the man to turn things around for United.
