Manchester United having already made up their mind not to sign Colombian striker Radamel Falcao to a permanent deal at the end of the season have now decided that the money would be better spent on Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who they think that can get for around £30 million.

Apparently the Polish international is not too happy at the Allianz Arena despite scoring 12 goals since arriving from Dortmund and is considering a move to Old Trafford according to the Guardian.

United boss Louis van Gaal is a big fan of the 26-year-old, and if he could sign him for the type of money that is being suggested it could prove to be a huge coup for the Red Devils who seriously need to reinvigorate their front line which currently has an underperforming Falcao, and a Dutchman whose age is starting to catch up with him.

Take a look at a video from his days at Dortmund and you will see how the Pole could fit into the team van Gaal wants to build.
