Manchester United’s out-of-favour winger Nani could be heading to AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie A giants are the latest name to be linked with the Portuguese scurrier, whose Old Trafford career has seemingly gone sour.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Nani’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is exploring the options for an escape from Fergie’s clutches, and AC Milan could move to take the United midfielder in the summer.

A January transfer is described as “more difficult”.

Nani has got plenty of admirers, with Juventus thought to be particularly randy for the winger, who is under contract at United until 2014 – reportedly it was negotiations over a new contract that fatally soured Nani’s relationship with the Old Trafford high-ups, and has seen him swept into the wilderness by Sir Alex Ferguson.
