United  believe they can take advantage of uncertainty at Real Madrid, and are prepared to offer £65million and bring Ronaldo back home to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo has only two years left on his current contract and has turned down offers from Real Madrid to sign a new deal, of course Real Madrid will not give up trying to keep him, but in the meantime, Los Blanco’s president  Florentino Perez has already made plans bring in Gareth Bale from Tottenham in a deal worth £80m to the north London club.

They know that this is their last chance to get big money back on him, and cannot afford to wait as Ronaldo’s current contract run out.

Ronaldo’s house is up for sale in Madrid, and after falling out with Jose Mourinho he did not play in Real’s final game of the season.

After having  left Man United for Real Madrid in an £80m move in back in 2009. Ronaldo kept in touch with Alex Ferguson and missed many of his old team-mates at United.

Manchester United has already made contact with his representatives and the clubs kit sponsor Nike is also believed to be involved in the deal.

United want make him their top earner, and with Rooney expected to be leaving to join French champions Paris Saint-Germain United will have plenty of money for Cristiano’s mega salary.

For incoming manager David Moyes the  signing of CR7 will be the perfect launchpad for his reign at Old Trafford.
