Despite having plenty of cash at his disposal following their record breaking £750m 10-year kit deal with Adidas , and a shirt sponsorship deal with American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has cooled his interest in Chilean international midfielder Arturo Vidal after his current club Juventus slapped a £35 million valuation on the player.

Meanwhile the Dutch manager will now turn his attention to signing Mats Hummels and Angel Di Maria while he searches for a suitable midfielder to replace Vidal according to the Daily Express.

United are expecting to pay around £40 million to Real Madrid for the Argentinian winger, with Borussia Dortmund’s Hummels thought to be available for around £25 million.

On the way out of Old Trafford to help fund Louis van Gaal’s new signings will be Marouane Fellaini, Wilfried Zaha, Nani and Ashley Young.
