Manchester United coach Frans Hoek is refusing to say whether or not the club is making moves to sign Barcelona winger Pedro, despite the fact that Angel Di Maria now appears to be 100% on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.

The 27-year-old Spanish international would of course make an ideal replacement for the Argentinian international as was evident in his performance for the Catalan giants in yesterdays friendly against the Red Devils in Santa Clara.

“We will see,” Hoek replied when asked about Pedro.

“A lot of things can happen in the world of football, but everything is very difficult.”

Hoek was also asked about what happened with Victor Valdes, now it appears the goal keeper is set to exit Old Trafford after having fallen foul of United boss LVG.

“I don’t want to talk about negative things,” he added. “Valdes is a great goalkeeper and I am sure he will find a great team this season.”
