According to reports in Portugal Manchester United are close to signing the player everyone is calling the new Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portuguese sports newspaper A Bola (via Calciomercato) is saying that the Red Devils are close to sealing a deal for 19-year-old Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes.
The young Portuguese international has been a standout player for Benfica so far this season scoring three goals in 12 league appearances, and one during Champions League play.
Manchester United have made acquiring the young striker their top priority for January, as they look to address the lack of goals the team has been scoring with both Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney finding it difficult to hit the back of the net.
United has not won in their last six games and are now trailing league leaders Leicester City by nine points.
