Manchester United will launch a £40 million bid for Arsenal target Arturo Vidal after Juventus revealed what it would take in order to let the Chilean international leave Turin.

Despite being tied down to a long-term contract with Juventus reports out of Italy carried by the Daily Express suggest that Juventus have told Manchester United that they will except nothing less than £40 million for the 27-year-old powerhouse.

Vidal is currently regarded as one of the best midfielders out there, and already has new incoming United manager Louis van Gaal looking to partner the Chilean with £29million signing Ander Herrera as United looks to get their Premiership title contention back on track.

The Gunners meanwhile are very keen on Vidal, but are currently busy competing with Liverpool for Vidal’s Chilean teammate Alexis Sanchez.

Wenger is looking to spend money this summer and despite United ready to offer £40 million do not be surprised to see Arsenal come in with a late bid.
