Manchester City is said to be poised to enter the race for Manchester United target Sergio Ramos hoping to take advantage of the Red Devils stalemate with Los Blanco’s over goalkeeper David De Gea.

United has already had two bids rejected by Real for the 29-year-old defender who they have slapped a ridiculous £64 million price tag on, while United refuses to lower the £35 million they want for De Gea.

Last week Pedro Riesco, who works with Ramos’ brother and agent Rene, said: “With everything that has happened it will be very difficult for Sergio Ramos to stay at Madrid.”

City meanwhile is monitoring the situation closely as they prepare to have a major shake-up at the Etihad that could also see the arrival of Raheem Sterling, Paul Pogba and Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne.
