Man City’s Kompany not taking Mourinho seriously

Belgium international Vincent Kompany is laughing off what he calls Jose Mourinho’s mind games saying that it will have absolutely no impact on which team eventually wins the Premiership.

The Chelsea boss has tried to put pressure on Manchester City by claiming that it is their title to lose but the Manchester City Captain believes that any one of the teams now in the top four can win it.

Chelsea is currently in first place four-points clear of Liverpool and Arsenal who are in joint second with Manchester City in fourth play six-points behind but with two games in hand.

Chelsea could extend their lead over City and Arsenal who are both playing in the quarter final of the FA Cup against Wigan and Everton while Chelsea host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge in the league.

Liverpool meanwhile has the week off to rest up before their Journey to Old Trafford on the 16th.

Kompany has laughed at Mourinho’s comments when referring to City’s two games in hand by saying that City has their “destiny in their hands.”

“It’s very simple in football, the winner is always right and the loser is always wrong,” Kompany told Sky Sports.

“Unless a manager puts on his football boots and starts playing as a striker, I’m never really worried about what they can say.

“As I say, there are four teams and Liverpool is one that can win it as well. Maybe City and Chelsea have a slight edge, but then again Liverpool have just as much momentum.

“Arsenal will probably get the momentum back again when they win again, so it’s a good league for the neutrals. I think it will be tight until the end.”
