French midfielder Nabil Fekir says he will only join Arsenal if he is guaranteed first-team football at the Emirates.

The Lyon star acknowledged Arsenal interest in signing him last December, with his father also confirming that Arsenal would be the best place for his son to go should he leave Lyon.

The Ligue 1 side is obviously afraid that the will lose the £20 million valued player in the summer, but Fekir has eased their worry a bit by saying that will not leave Stade Gerland to sit on the bench at another club.

“With all the great players at Arsenal it would be difficult for me to get a place in their team,” he told L’Equipe. “You never know what might happen. But I don’t want to leave Lyon too early, and end up sitting on a sub’s bench somewhere.

“I love to play. I am not happy if I don’t get games.”

So far this season the French-Algerian has scored ten goals while providing 26 assists in all competitions helping Les Gones to compete with PSG for the title.
