LVG to offer Tottenham £50m for Harry Kane

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is desperate to increase his attacking options this summer, and with that in mind is prepared to offer Javier Hernandez, Nani and Adnan Januzaj to get Spurs to come to the negotiating table over Harry Kane.

The deal is said to be worth £50 million as United prepare to test Spurs resolve to hang onto the 21-year-old goal-scoring sensation by making the England international a British record signing.

Goal.com reported last month that the 63-year-old manager was ready to spend big on players possibly even surpassing the £150 million he spent last summer on new signings in his bid to make Manchester United next seasons Premier League champions, and with over half a million in wages freed up with the departure of Radamel Falcao and the almost certainty that Robin van Persie has now played his last game for the Red Devils LVG has plenty of cash to spread around.

Spurs for their part have said that Kane is not available at any price, but that has not convinced the bosses at Old Trafford that they cannot temp Daniel Levy to at least listen to what they are prepared to do in order to gate Kane to move to Old Trafford.

Add to this the fact that United have already shelved any plans to try and sign Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale we feel Tottenham have at least to sit down and hear what United is prepared to do in order to sign Kane.
