LVG tells Manchester United Hierarchy that he wants 40€m STRIKER

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has told his Old Trafford bosses that he wants to win the Premiership next season, and the man to help him do it is Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan international looks almost certain to leave the Parc des Princes this summer after a bust up with trainer Laurent Blanc, and is said to be keen on proving himself in the Premiership according to Fichajes.net, where he hopes to replicate the success his compatriot Luis Suarez enjoyed while playing for Liverpool, winning the PFA Player of the year award before moving to Barcelona.

If reports are true that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is willing to let Diego Costa return to Spain it puts even more pressure on the Dutchman to get the job done early as Cavani would make an excellent replacement for the Brazilian born Spaniard at Stamford Bridge.

Juventus were said to be front runners for Cavani, but have balked at his excessive £300,000 per-week salary, but not United who could easily afford to pay it now that Falcao has left and Robin van Persie appears set to leave.

The 63-year-old Dutchman wants to have all his transfer business done early before the team leaves for their pre-season tour of the United States, so we expect to see how fast this story develops next week, as it certainly is not as clean cut as it might seem.
