Liverpool to offer Arsenal £50 Star as part of deal for Gunners Defender

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly interested in signing Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs during the summer transfer window and is prepared to offer Raheem Sterling to Arsenal as part of the deal.

Liverpool conceded 48 goals in the league last term and Rodgers sees the 25-year-old Gibbs as a player that can help plug the gaps at the back.

Gibbs has been with Arsenal since he was a 14-year-old so it will not be easy to leave your boyhood club, but given the fact he got very little playing time in the second half of the season due to Wenger preferring to play Nacho Monreal, a move to Anfield may be just what Gibbs needs in order to kick-start his career.

Meanwhile 20-year-old England international Sterling grew up in London and was recently reported to be house hunting in the nation’s capital, and now with reports saying Rodgers want Gibbs there might be more going on with this story than it first appears.
