This could be some encouraging news for Manchester United fans if true, but somehow we think it might just be a part of the theatrics playing out between the Red Devils and Real Madrid.

The front page of Spanish sports newspaper Marca has a photo of De Gea and Louis van Gaal with the headline “Siempre Negativo” – “Always Negative”.

24-year-old Spanish international David De Gea has been sensational at Manchester United, but only has one year remaining on his contract which has Spanish giants Real Madrid hoping to sign him as a replacement for veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

De Gea is keen on the move having already saying goodbye to his teammates at Old Trafford, but the paper claims Dutch manager Louis van Gaal is making it as difficult as possible for De Gea to leave by insisting Manchester United gets every penny of their asking price.

You must remember that Marca is the so called mouth piece of Real Madrid with every story they print biased towards Los Blanco’s, and to show their annoyance with van Gaal, suggest Real Madrid may drop their interest in De Gea and move for Bayern Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno instead.

The De Gea saga still has a long way to go yet, so we are sure there will be plenty of more story’s before this one is done and dusted.
