On a day when most Liverpool fans are feeling down following the defeat to Aston Villa in yesterday’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has a ray of hope for the Reds faithful after announcing that PSV has given permission to Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain to discuss personal terms with Dutch international winger Memphis Depay.

This will now put pressure on Manchester United to make a bid with everyone already assuming that the 21-year-old was already on his way to Old Trafford.

Depay would certainly fit manager Brendan Rodgers style of play and be the perfect replacement for Raheem Sterling should Liverpool decides to cash in on their young star.
