In what appears to be a strange move on the part of Chelsea Spanish publication Fichajes claim that Jose Mourinho is going to try and make a move for Arsenal and Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil if a suitable fee can be agreed by both clubs.

Ozil played under Mourinho while the Portuguese manager was in charge of Real Madrid, winning La Liga, Copa Del Rey and Supercopa de Espana titles after being signed from Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen in 2010.

Any bid by Chelsea for Ozil will not go down well with Arsenal fans, with it hard to imagine the Gunners even willing to part with a player they paid a club record £42.5 million for.

The Gunners take on Chelsea this coming weekend and are looking to beat the league leaders, while also looking to be title contenders next season, and selling Ozil to one of your fiercest rivals is definitely not on the cards.
