Liverpool striker target Valencia’s Paco Alcacer has signed a contract extension with the la Liga club that also has a massive £70 million buyout clause attached to it.

The 21-year-old has been watched by a number of clubs including Liverpool, but is happy to have done a new deal with his boyhood club effectively ending any speculation about his future for now at least.

“At the end of everything, the two parties wanted the same, which was to continue together,” he said.

“I am happy because of the effort they have made for me to be here and the effort that I have made to be a better player day after day.

“I am aware of offers. We knew what we wanted and I think that those things had to be left to the side. For now I want to be here. I have always said that that it is better for me to be here than in any other place.”
