Liverpool target Arda Turan wants to play for Arsenal

Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan has received  a few offers from clubs in the Premiership with Liverpool and Arsenal and both mentioned as possible suitors after the 27-year-old said that he would like to play in England.

So far this season the Turkish international has scored seven goals with five assists in Spain’s La Liga while making 34 appearances for Atletico Madrid where he is under contract until 2017.

Despite interest from Liverpool it is Arsenal where Turan would like to play according to his agent Ahmet Bulut saying: “Arsenal and Liverpool? A destination in the Premier League would be to the liking of the player and I can confirm there are clubs interested, like the two mentioned. He is interested in working under Arsene Wenger and Arda wants to work in England.”

Manchester United are also thought to be interested in the midfielder with new manager David  Moyes looking at Turan as being the perfect player to compliment the  January signing Juan Mata.

Should Arsene Wenger decide to make the Turks wish to join Arsenal a reality he will first have to come up with 40€ million in order to trigger his release clause with the Spanish club.
