The Reds have been told to forget about signing 26-year-old Hannover midfielder Lars Stindl this window despite the German being earmarked as a possible replacement for Steven Gerrard who will leave Anfield to play in the MLS for the LA Galaxy.

Stindl missed the start of the Bundesliga season through injury but is now back playing attracting the attention of several clubs after putting in some exceptional displays while scoring three goals in just eight appearances while also laying on three assists.
