Graham Beecroft talkSports Merseyside correspondent appeared on Sports Breakfast saying that a £4 million bid by Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers for Danny Ings had been rejected by Burnley, but that a deal could be still on for a larger fee if Burnley could find a replacement for the 22-year-old saying “the situation may just happen”.

Meanwhile Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert is of interest to both Stoke City and West Brom with Beecroft speculating he might be used to get Ings.

While Burnley remains tight-lipped over Ings speculation around Turf Moor suggests that Ings who is out of contract in the summer has signed a pre-season contract with Real Sociedad and will link up with David Moyes team at the end of the season.
