Good news for Liverpool fans after the club has been told they can sign Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic from AS Roma for £21.8 million.

With Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard set to leave Merseyside after 17-years with his boyhood club for a stint in the MLS with the Los Angeles Galaxy, Liverpool were set to be left with a big hole to fill.

The 25-year-old Roma midfielder has been in fine form for the Giallorossi this season scoring six goals to put Roma second in the Serie A behind runaway leaders Juventus and is Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers first choice to replace Gerrard.

Liverpool however are not the only club chasing the former Lyon player according to Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport, with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain all said to be interested in securing Rudi Garcia’s man for their club.
