Liverpool fans need to prepare for a summer of DISSAPOINTMENT

If a story in the Sunday Mirror is correct Liverpool fans could be in for a summer of disappointment after the British paper suggests that Liverpool will miss out on signing PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay because the Anfield money men refuse to pay the Dutch clubs asking price of £25 million.

Liverpool have been sending scouts to watch Depay for the last 18-months and are now according to the Mirror ready to watch bitter rivals Manchester United snap him up as they have no problem meeting the Eredivisie clubs asking price.

The same thing has happened in the recent past with Liverpool failing to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mohamed Salah and Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.

This new does not bode well for the summer as contract talks with Sterling, Henderson and Skrtel look to be on the agenda with the club knowing they must not only sign a world-class goalkeeper, but a replacement for Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson, Lucas Leiva and a new striker for Mario Balotelli.
