Liverpool looks set to sign Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka on a free transfer at the end of the season despite a deal for the Ukrainian international collapsing the last time Liverpool tried to sign the 25-year-old 18 months ago.

Konoplyanka is considered to be one of the best players in Ukraine but admitted his dream is to play in England saying: ‘My goal as a child was to play in England.

‘The leagues are stronger and I still want to try my hand there.”

It looks as though Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers could be in for a busy summer with as many new faces arriving at Anfield while other depart for new adventures elsewhere.
